
We collaborated with the International African American Museum (IAAM) and Google Arts & Culture to produce a collection of documentary short films highlighting compelling and historically important stories about unique individuals, organizations, and landmarks in South Carolina. Each film is the keystone of a digital exhibition, as well as an in-person museum exhibition.
Community Connections & Mobility is a 6 minute film that uses photography as a medium to provide a candid look at the multigenerational history of the Parks / Wilder family while also exploring broader topics of Gullah Geechee family connections on Sol Legare Island, the Great Migration, and the preservation of culture.
The Living Legacy of Moving Star Hall is an 8 minute ode to Moving Star Hall & The Moving Star Hall Singers – commemorating the living legacy of the praise house and the spirit that reverberates through Johns Island.
The Living Legacy of the International Longshoremen’s Association is a 6 minute film that highlights generational legacies of African American Longshoremen, as well as the contemporary and historical importance of the International Longshoremen's Association, Local 1422.
