The Living Legacy of Moving Star Hall
Client:International African American Museum x Google Arts & Culture
Category:Short Documentary

In collaboration with Visible Life, we produced a collection of documentary short films to support in-person and digital exhibitions at the International African American Museum. Our mission was to illuminate the compelling and historically significant stories of unique individuals, organizations, and landmarks in South Carolina.

Over the course of two weeks in Charleston County, we immersed ourselves in the community—learning about the lives, families, and traditions of all the remarkable people we encountered. This deep connection allowed us to approach our storytelling with genuine empathy and care, making the final films all the more meaningful.

This film focuses on Moving Star Hall— a renowned praise house on Johns Island, South Carolina— exploring the profound theme of the movement of the Holy Spirit. Through its rich history and vibrant community, we delve into the spiritual experiences that have shaped this sacred space.
